Mémoire operates dedicated sites for different occasions — wakes, birthdays, christenings, anniversaries, proms and more. Once your venue is listed, you can opt in to any relevant site instantly at no extra cost. Commission applies per booking on each site.
A hotel that hosts wakes, birthday parties and christenings can appear on all three sites from a single dashboard — with separate listings, tailored packages per occasion, and commission tracked per booking per site.
Common questions
Is it really free to list?+
Yes — no setup fees, no monthly subscription, no contract. You list your venue for free and only pay a commission when a booking is completed and paid through Mémoire. If a family enquires but books offline, there is no charge.
What counts as a completed booking?+
A booking is completed when a family pays a deposit or full payment through the Mémoire platform via Stripe. Commission is deducted automatically at that point — you receive your share within 2 business days.
What is Featured placement?+
Featured placement is an optional add-on at £49 per month. Featured venues appear at the top of search results in their area, above non-featured listings, and are highlighted on crematorium pages and the homepage. You can add or cancel Featured placement at any time — there are no contracts or cancellation fees.
Are there any fees for families?+
None at all. Searching, viewing listings and sending enquiries is always free for families. Mémoire earns from venue commission only.

Is VAT charged on commission?+
Commission invoices are subject to VAT if your business is VAT registered. The commission rates shown are exclusive of VAT.
Can I still take offline bookings?+
Yes. Commission only applies to bookings made through the Mémoire platform. You can continue taking enquiries and bookings by phone or email as normal.
